JAGAE RING BOX

JAGAE, or Mother Of Pearl, refers to the shells of abalone, mollusk or clam. The Korean Traditional Najeon technique involoves inlaying Mother Of Pearl on the surface of lacquered objects. I converted my JISU Ring Box into Jage Ring Box using Najeon Technique and Black Otchil which is a natural varnish from lacquer trees. The pattern on the side is called Ajamoon which means longevity. The ajamoon is originally from the continious of Chinese Letter (亞) but I added a line between the letter so that it looks like a continious 512 which represents my birthday.
